Will HTC will present the OceanNote as HTC U Ultra on January 12?

New year, new smartphones! HTC will also try again this year to make us happy with new smartphones. The first smartphone for 2017 is to be presented already on 12 January and is to be called @OnLeaks HTC U Ultra.

So far, it was assumed that the HTC under the Codenames Ocean the successor of the HTC 10 developed. In September 2016 the well-known Twitter Leaker @LlabTooFeR sprinkled three Ocean-Codenames, behind which we and many other Tech magazines suspect the HTC 11. After HTC for Google two technically identical, only in the size and the display distinguishing pixels and pixels XL produced, the rumors around a HTC 11 in three different variants as very logical.

In the middle of December 2016, HTC sent an invitation for a product presentation on January 12, 2017. On the invitation, a "U" appeared prominently, so it can be assumed that a product or product series will be presented under this name. Another known Twitter leaker, @OnLeaks, has now learned from an unconfirmed source that on this day the HTC U Ultra is presented as HTC Ocean Note. This smartphone is like the HTC 10 Evo completely without analog headphone output, because these are connected via USB-Type-C.

In addition, the HTC U Ultra is a Phablet with a 6-inch display. Further technical details are not yet known, but as soon as more information is available - at the latest on 12 January, when we were on the HTC presentation.
