OnePlus has released the firmware update on OxygenOS 4.0.1 for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The first patch fixes errors that were known after the nougat update. What new features the Android update brings and how you installed it earlier, you can learn here.

OnePlus 3 (T) update to Oxygen OS 4.0.1

OnePlus fixes with the first patch on Oxygen OS 4.0.1 children's diseases of the nougat update. The system update is only recently distributed for the OnePlus 3 and 3T. However, the support forums are filling up with the OnePlus 3 as well as the optimized OnePlus 3T with error reports. Unfortunately, bugs like performance problems Photo Gallery have not been addressed yet.

The biggest mistake seems to be onePlus in the first patch on Oxygen OS 4.0.1 however. These include, but are not limited to, Google's issue of downloading apps from the Play Store under certain circumstances. OnePlus recommends manually quitting apps like Truecaller, AVG Antivirus or PayTm, which can interfere with the download. After the update you should manually check your APN settings to use the mobile data.

• Apps might not download from Play Store.
• If you want to download it via Data Roaming, it will not work. This is a known Google issue.
• Please follow Google's troubleshooting steps and see if the problem is resolved.
• Try turning on Battery Saving Mode and reset Play Store app preferences.
• If you have these 3 apps installed: Truecaller, AVG Antivirus and PayTm, please try to force.
• If you're still experiencing mobile data issues caused by APN, please go to APN. In the case that mobile data is still unusable, please send me.
• WiFi connectivity might still fluctuate, if you experience this issue, please send me a pm.

OnePlus 3 (T) after the nougat update

The nougat update provides numerous new features on the OnePlus 3 as well as the largely identical OnePlus 3T. We had already tested the beta issue and published an experience report:

If the switch is set to "ring", you can no longer set the volume to zero / vibration via the volume rocker. This can be done by pushing the switch to "Mute" and activating the vibration in the pop-up that appears. This and more nougat tips can be found in the OnePlus forum.

OnePlus 3 (T): Manually install Android updates
