Samsung Display has put several videos on YouTube showing the benefits of the current AMOLED generation. Little surprise, the speculation shoot into the herb, because in the videos is a smartphone to see. Is it the Galaxy S8?
Some media make it very easy: in the videos is a smartphone without home button to see. The display has hardly any edges. And because the video is from Samsung Display, is clear: It must be the Galaxy S8 act. There is, of course, nothing to it, but most of them still assume that, because that promises more attention. With some luck the authors know that the S8 is not to be seen. But who knows. Alone the healthy human understanding states that Samsung in these videos has not accidentally shown an S8.
The three advertising videos give the impression that strong post-production has taken place here. Obviously, the smartphone shown is not a real product, but rather a generic smartphone. At another point is a smartphone with an extremely wide connection, which almost reminds of a Samsung connector of 2010.
Probably, Samsung Display uses a largely frameless demo object to show that the current AMOLED generation is suitable for such designs. However, these panels will be used for the S8.
The videos show however at least some interesting features, which are relevant for the Galaxy S8. Samsung points to the wide color space, which is compared to other technologies more vibrant colors, low power consumption as well as the narrow design. However, this is more of a fundamental advantage of the AMOLED technology. Sammobile.com has also tried to determine the aspect ratio of the displayed display. This indicates that this is a 17: 9 display. This would be slightly higher than current QHD smartphones. LG would like to use the G6 possibly a 18: 9 display (that would be exactly twice as large as wide).

Another video shows the possibility to adjust the color representation. This is mainly to benefit from color blinds, which can adapt the displayed colors to your own viewing conditions.
